Monument Beer Week, special tappings, and more beery goodness over the next two weeks

The next week and a half (or so) should prove to be some of the beeriest few days the Pikes Peak region has seen in a while. Up in Monument, Pikes Peak Brewing is launching the third annual Monument Beer Week, and they are hosting one great looking event every day of the week. Meanwhile in Colorado Springs we'll see a few really good looking tapping events, including a special beer release from our old hometown hero Black Fox Brewing! Monument Beer Week Oct. 20-27



Saturday, October 20th, kicks off Monument Beer Week. This week is organized by Pikes Peak Brewing Co.  There will be beer dinners at local restaurants as well as beer events at Pikes Peak Brewing. Here are a few of the events that no one should miss if you happen to be in the area. For a complete list of the activities, check out it out here.

Monday 10/22/12 6pm: Grand Opening of the Barrel Room – PPBC
The Pikes Peak Brewing Company introduces our new tasting room called “The Barrel Room”. To debut our new digs, we will offer a special tasting of rare and unique barrel aged beers from around the world. No reservations needed. Beers offered will include:

Pikes Peak Brewing Rolls Out Monument Beer Week 2012

Now in it's second year, Monument Beer Week is more expansive, ambitious, and comprehensive than ever before. The dates are set for Sat. Oct. 22 to Sat. Oct. 27th. There will be plenty of great events, and we'll be sure to post more details when we have them. For now, begin penning in events on your calendars, here's the list:

Monument Beer Week 2011: Oct 16 - 22

That's right, Monument now has a Beer Week! I'd imagine it's largely due to the work of our new Pikes Peak Brewing, as everything looks like it's happening there. I'm not sure if other places in Monument will also be participating. Check out the calendar of events:

Sunday - 10/16
Homebrewers Demonstration mid afternoon

Monday - 10/17
Beer Chef contest, bring your best beer-inspired recipe for a chance to win fabulous PPBC prizes! If you'd like to participate, contact Courtney at courtney@pikespeakbrewing.com for details.

Tuesday - 10/18
Private Beer Expedition Team Beer and Cheese Tasting Event.  BET Members Only. Beer and cheese event, $30/person; Must RSVP and Pay in advance at PPBC. Taste a great pairing between some German cheeses and PPBC beer.

Craft Beer Week 2011 Starts 5/16

I've neglected the blog for almost a full week now. Super busy with some work in Kansas City, I'll share that with you soon. Just wanted to fill you in, if you didn't already know, American Craft Beer Week starts tomorrow.

Most of the breweries around town are just doing their normal thing. Bristol, however, is really doing it up with a series of events. Check the calendar on the left column of this blog for info on the upcoming events, or just visit this Bristol Page for all info all together. Here's a little hint at what's going on:
